For those of you who have only knitted scarves and simple
small projects, how about knitting a sweater from the neck
down? A minimum of sewing is required at the end.
The knit-along project will be a small (size 2 or 4) sweater.
You will learn all you need to know to knit a larger version;
increasing, decreasing, neck shaping (either crew neck or vneck,
pullover or cardigan). We will also have a session about how you
can take a basic pattern and add a pattern stitch below the armholes.
Knitting instruction is free. The only cost is materials for
the project (to be purchased at Alameda Yarn Co.). The pattern
is $6.00 and will require circular knitting needles.
